(1) Symptoms:
The affected fish exhibits extreme emaciation, dull and faded body color, an upturned tail, and frenzied swimming behavior in the water—such as erratic darting, circling, or diving and leaping repeatedly.
(2) Preventive Methods:

Use 125 kg of quicklime per mu to thoroughly eliminate myxosporidian spores in the sludge, thereby reducing the prevalence of the pathogen.

Before stocking fish fry, bathe them in a potassium permanganate solution at a concentration of 500×10⁻⁶ mg/L for 30 minutes. This can kill 60%–70% of the myxosporidian spores.

Currently, there is no effective treatment for this disease.
