1. Slightly Dampened (discovered within 3 days, only clumped without mold spots)
   • Can be sun-dried or dried at low temperature (below 50°C)
   • Crush before use and mix with fresh feed at no more than 20%
   • It is recommended to add a small amount of mold inhibitor (e.g., food-grade mycotoxin binder)
2. Severely Dampened (discard immediately if any of the following occur)
   • Visible green/black mold spots
   • Sour or moldy odor
   • Feed clumps together or shows signs of insect infestation
     

II. Potential Risks

• Nutrient Loss: Significant degradation of vitamins (especially vitamin C and B vitamins)
• Toxin Hazard: Moldy feed may contain aflatoxins, which can cause liver damage, enteritis, or even death in koi
• Water Pollution: Dampened feed easily clouds water when fed, increasing filtration burden

III. Emergency Measures

1. Stop feeding immediately and change 1/3 of the water
2. Observe whether koi show:
   • Spitting out food, lethargy
   • Reddened vent, abnormal feces
3. If abnormalities occur, use activated carbon filtration and add probiotics for conditioning

IV. Preventive Measures

1. Sealed Packaging: Divide large feed bags into sealed containers/vacuum bags
2. Dry Storage: Place food desiccants (e.g., silica gel packets) inside, store away from light
3. Small Portions: Use a dry scoop to take feed and seal immediately after use
4. First In, First Out: Mark opening dates on packages and use earlier opened feed first
