(1) Symptoms:
The affected fish shows localized or extensive inflammation and congestion on the body surface, with scales falling off. These symptoms are most pronounced on the sides and abdomen of the fish.
(2) Preventive Measures:
  • Pay attention to feeding management, handle with care to avoid injuring the fish.
  • Use bleaching powder at a concentration of 1×10⁻⁶ mg/L, applied throughout the pond. This method is suitable for large outdoor fish ponds.
(3) Treatment Methods:
  • Bathe the fish in a nitrofurazone or furazolidone solution at a concentration of 20×10⁻⁶ mg/L, or apply nitrofurazone or furazolidone throughout the pond at a concentration of (0.2–0.3)×10⁻⁶ mg/L.
  • Bathe the fish in a Rivanol solution at a concentration of 20×10⁻⁶ mg/L, or apply Rivanol throughout the pond at a concentration of (0.8–1.5)×10⁻⁶ mg/L.
